A tree growing in the yard of Trinity Church in Lower Manhattan provides a contrast in both form and tone to the Oculus and World Trade Center buildings rising behind it. I try to make a habit of bringing a camera with me when I run errands in parts of the City that I don't often frequent. I was glad to have brought my old Rollei AFM and some CineStill BWxx downtown with me when I had some federal paperwork to sort out. #photography #monochrome #BelieveInFilm #NYC #NewYork #Mamdanistan #Rollei

A monochrome photograph shows a bare tree branching out through the fog in front of the Oculus and One World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan.

The image depicts a bustling workshop filled with various activities. In the foreground, individuals are engaged in different tasks such as working on art pieces or examining materials spread out before them. One person is seen sitting at a desk, surrounded by papers and possibly sketching or writing something down. Another individual stands next to an easel displaying abstract artwork.

The middle ground reveals more people immersed in their workstations. There's a notable presence of large sculptures and installations throughout the space, including a statue-like figure on one side, a massive insect sculpture hanging from the ceiling, and other various sculptural pieces scattered around. The environment appears industrial with exposed brick walls, overhead lighting fixtures, ductwork along the ceiling, and an array of tools and equipment.

The background shows more people working at their respective stations, contributing to a dynamic atmosphere filled with creativity and collaboration. The overall impression is that of a creative studio or workshop where artists engage in diverse forms of artistic expression within close quarters.

Portrait of a person with curly hair against a deep blue studio background, with red projected light casting a horizontal band across their face and arms. Hands are raised behind the head in a relaxed pose. Dark clothing includes a black crop top and corset-style belt with rose buckle. Dramatic shadow cast on the wall behind mirrors the figure's silhouette. Artistic portrait using colored projector lighting effects.

One of my favourite places on Dartmoor is Wistman's Wood, and I took a friend to see it, on a warm and sunny day, earlier this month.
A short walk from the road takes you to a boulder-strewn hillside, densely-packed with stunted oaks, mosses, lichens, and ferns; a small oasis of residual temperate rainforest in the barren expanse of the Moor.
It's a magical spot.

A dense thicket of dwarf oak trees sits amongst boulders in dappled sunlight. Most surfaces are covered in moss, lichen or fern. The whole scene is very green.

Feeling incredibly proud to finally hold my 2027 Tube Mapper Calendar in my hands!

The shipment landed yesterday, so I’m now busy getting calendars out to everyone who has already ordered.

I couldn’t resist matching my T-shirt to one of the gorgeous pastel colours on the cover!

The calendar is available here

Clocktower in Halifax

'Uhren'
#fotovorschlag
#canada #kanada #Halifax #architecture #streetphotography #travel #photography #panasoniclumix

Kanada 2026

A Mangrove Viper (Trimeresurus purpureomaculatus) spotted at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Singapore on 22 Nov 2025. Venomous and usually hangs out on branches and, occasionally, railings, so best to be cautious.
