Pirate Tower at Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach, California, catching the warm late-day light. Tucked against the cliff and looking like it belongs in another time, it’s one of those wonderfully unexpected sights along the Southern California coast.

A Girl Nearly Died After Drinking Raw Milk. The State Did Little to Punish the Unlicensed Farmer Who Sold It.
--

California is teeming with black-market dairies, propped up by consumer demand fueled by misinformation. With evidence against one raw goat milk farm, regulators could have sought punitive action. But that’s not what happened.

Here’s a photograph from Saturday morning following the prescribed burns in the Elk Prairie area of Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. The photo shows three crew members in yellow, black, and red (lower left) at the edge of a tan, gold, and green grassland area, next to the trunk of a spectacular redwood tree (rising from the lower right and disappearing from view in the upper right). The remainder of the background is primarily green needles and leaves from a variety of different trees and shrubs. Prescribed burns are conducted at Elk Prairie as one element of park management.

I still don't get what's the big deal about corn on everything

#LosAngeles #California #Photo #Photography #LetyDoesSelfies

Photo of Lety sitting at an outdoor dining table holding a fish‐shaped, corn‐flavored ice cream sandwich with a big bite taken out of it during high noon. From top to bottom, her visible attire consists of: a floral red sundress. Lety is sitting on a brown metal chair at a matching outdoor dining table, holding her phone in her right hand to take a top‐down selfie that focuses on her torso. In her left hand is a corn‐flavored store‐bought samanco, the wrapper of her frozen dessert on the table in front of her, and green artificial turf around the floor behind her. Lety's late, former, ex‐fiancée… she'll never find the right words to describe their relationship, but someone Lety loved very much loved corn‐flavored everything. She's still trying to adjust to her lover's palette, three years after she's gone. A basic transcript of the samanco wrapper follows.

Palace Of Fine Arts/Columns And Curves

The Palace Of Fine Arts is one of ten structures of this nature built for the 1915 Pan-American Exposition in San Francisco California.
This is located in the Marina District of the city only a few blocks up off the San Francisco Bay.

Palace Of Fine Arts/Columns And Curves

Warm late‑afternoon light pours across the Palace of Fine Arts, igniting the sandstone columns in a deep, honey‑gold glow. The architecture rises with a quiet, commanding elegance—massive fluted pillars curving into graceful arches that feel both ancient and impossibly alive. Shadows slip between the columns like soft velvet, adding depth and mystery, while the sky beyond opens into a clear, luminous blue that feels almost painted.

There’s a gentle stillness in the scene, the kind that makes you instinctively slow your breathing. The trees framing the structure add a whisper of movement, their leaves catching the light like tiny green sparks.

This photograph doesn’t just show architecture—it invites the viewer into a moment of serenity, history, and awe. It’s the kind of image that transforms a room: warm enough for a living space, sophisticated enough for an office, and timeless enough for collectors who appreciate classical lines and atmospheric light.

Why buyers connect with this piece:

It radiates calm, making it ideal for spaces that need grounding energy.

The warm tones and clean architectural lines pair effortlessly with modern, rustic, or traditional décor.

It captures one of San Francisco’s most iconic structures in a way that feels intimate, almost cinematic.

The composition draws the eye inward, making it a natural focal point on any wall.

Mt Whitney From Highway 395
Living in California kind of spoils a person to all of the beauty that surrounds them. Hwy 395 down the backside of the Sierra Nevada Range is one of those drives that everyone should take at least once in their lives.
Hwy. 395 to me is the backbone of California even though it dips in and out of Nevada to get around Lake Tahoe.

Mt Whitney From Highway 395

This photograph opens with a sweep of sun‑washed desert foreground giving way to the jagged rise of the Eastern Sierra, the air so clear it feels almost sharp against the skin. Mt. Whitney anchors the right side of the frame, its granite face catching the light in a way that makes the peak look both immense and impossibly close, a towering presence above the quiet openness of Highway 395. The Alabama Hills roll across the mid‑ground in warm, rounded shapes, their rust‑colored rock contrasting beautifully with the cool, pale blues of the high mountain sky, creating a scene that feels both rugged and serene, like the breath you take when the world suddenly expands around you.

Balboa Park B and W

One of my favorite places in San Diego besides the beaches, and Old Town, is Balboa Park.
This image was captured early in the morning mid summer. I walked the streets and sidewalks around the different museums. I was so excited when I saw this beautiful arch with the repeating patterns almost as far as the eye can see.
