strange place to explore

Photograph of small, bare trees in spring, some dead and twisted on the ground, others standing straight against a bluish-white overcast sky. Behind them, the low, greyish forest. On the ground, the previous year's dead vegetation, yellowed and reddish.

A dense forest with tall pine trees with textured bark, a shallow stream of clear water flowing over large moss-covered boulders and rocks, creating small cascades. The forest floor is covered with fallen leaves, patches of bare earth, and bright green moss, with a gentle slope rising in the background under natural daylight.

Edit: this Toot will get edited when new tags are shared.

A vintage-style sepia photograph, presented as if on a film strip with sprocket holes and artificial scratches, captures a concentrated moment. Cynni is crouching on natural, rocky terrain among sparse bushes at Burgers' Zoo, fully focused on framing a picture. They look intently through the viewfinder of a black Nikon Coolpix P500 digital bridge camera, which they hold firmly with both hands. Their expression is one of deep concentration as they peer through the lens. Their left arm, featuring a complex stylized text tattoo, is bent, and a few rings are visible on their fingers gripping the camera body. They wear a dark short-sleeved t-shirt, camouflage cargo pants, and a dark baseball cap with white sunglasses perched on top. A Nikon-branded camera strap hangs around their neck. The background is a natural-looking zoo enclosure with other blurred figures of visitors visible in the far distance. The composition is a candid, close-up shot emphasizing their focus.

Someone didn't skip leg day for #ThickTrunkTuesday 🦵

Exposed, gnarled tree roots, thickly covered in moss, twist above a carpet of forest floor moss in a dense woodland. Two tree trunks grow tall from these roots, while fallen branches and wood chips lie scattered on the ground. Tall coniferous trees with moss-covered trunks fill the background, creating a lush, green scene.

"Bamboo Lattice" for #ForestFriday

Bamboo is a grass (Poaceae family, the "true grasses") but I guess to every bug on the ground, grass looks just a forest. 😁 Bamboo's a bigger grass, and we're just bigger bugs. :)

Photographed at Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan.
